Today was sweet! Went to housepark to help Paul Rad film some clips for an edit he is working on. The park was SUPER busy and then I remembered that today is Saturday ha, kids everywhere! Made it hard to film but Paul got some clips done.
This guy on some homemade rollerskates I see every so often his name is Biff and he kills it! Here’s a sample of him getting rad:

Afterwards headed to Mabel Davis park and met up with Stoney and his skater friends from Indiana. Paul got some more clips and I got my grind on, man that bowl is awesome!

Today marks one year goodbye to my good friend and skate buddy “Jerry.”

If you are in Cleveland, the homies at Now That’s Class are having a Skate jam tonight unannounced that it’s for him but we all know sup. .

This one’s for you (his favorite ha!)

Here is some flash by Afro pat he made to commemorate Our bud last winter:

Rock on bro..

This past Wednesday night I went to Clowndog Bikes, threw some HUGE cruiser bars on my fairdale and pedaled to see a show at the Mohawk with Kristen and Ruben Castillo (Kdogg and Rdogg).

Line was around the block when we got there and we could hear the Austin locals Eagleclaw tearin it up. We made it inside after their last note haha but man Radio Moscow!!! Who knew a band from Story City, Iowa could thrash so hard? They played some dirty rock and roll with lots of fast guitar solos kind of like sabbath meets MC5 meets Hendrix with their guitar sound.. I didn’t get a chance to pick up their album but what a great live band!

And then there was Graveyard, who I apologize in advance, I didn’t like their recording after a few times the guys. Live reminded me I sound garden almost ruined it for me but the music was great.. But LIVE they sounded so different and SOOO much better!! Good shit!

I started a blog!

Welp here it is, it’s finally a rainy day in Austin, TX and I started the long awaited blog for all of my adventures and photos that don’t end up on twitter, Facebook or get used for (hint hint you should visit that site ;0)

So I just started riding my BMX again, after overshooting my landing and getting sent straight to my face in the bottom of the Housepark bowl back in October, I spent a lot of my time off the bike taking photos as a way to stay involved with bikes, get more familiar with my camera, and share some rad photos with my homies.   Here is a fancy X-ray photo of my jaw I got at the dentist a few weeks ago. The metal plates look like chain links haha biker for life!

Thanks to Troy Lee Designs I am able to protect my face from here on out with one of their badass lightweight Moto-X helmets. Huge thanks they also sent me some knee pads and gloves woo!! Fancy!

So here are a few photos I’ve shot and haven’t gotten to share yet from being off of my bike..I’m sure I’ll post more, i’m seriously just stoked to even have this first post up at all!

Stoney D has been rippin up t1 ramp lately, rollin' in first run

yup, pulled up behind this truck today ha

Allied Compound beast of a roll-in, fun times!

Sometimes, you gotta wear a "Fall Risk" bracelet haha maybe I should wear one all of the time

Thank you all for helping!

Man, I just really wanted to say thank you to everyone that sent me get well messages, donated $, and helped me through the broken jaw recovery. I thought I knew how awesome BMX was before, and I never imagined I would be anyone that the community would have to pull together for to help out but man you all saved my ass!! Living “check to check” and with no dental insurance, I’m not sure I wouldn’t have ended up partially toothless and homeless without your help! So I just wanted to say thank you, it means so much that so many people care and from all over the world! (French fries crew Ouis Ouis!) Good karma does come back your way eventually!!
Okay okay enough cheese sorry ha!
My good friend, teammate Etnies BMX and DK Bicycles Brian Kachinsky auctioned off his bike yesterday on EBay to help me with my dental bills! So freakin awesome!! It sold for enough to cover most of my one tooth that got broken in half during the crash that makes my mouth like an electric fence if I’m not careful how and what I eat. I can’t wait to get that fixed!! Thanks B!
Homie Matt D Legacy Merch printed some “Nina B” shirts to help as well. Originally for the Trail Pirate site Halloween Jam at 9th street, now available at Empire BMX

I am almost done with this gnarly stuff! Apparently the dental rinse they gave me while my jaw was wired was really good anti microbial rinse but it turned my teeth brown almost grey! At least after last dentist visit and a good cleaning I can smile with a lot more confidence 🙂 hooray for payment plans!
So far just need to wait a few months to see if my bottom front teeth will stay alive or if they will die and have to go..and get a few crowns and fillings so can finally chew without pain. If anyone needs some good tips or blender recipes send me a message! I am more than happy to share!
My best friend back in NY is a school teacher who shared my crash with her students and they sent me some rad get well art work! Thank you Ms.Suchan’s class!! Xoxo
